ARROWE SOUND HOSPITAL RADIO

Arrowe Sound is the hospital radio broadcasting service for the staff and patients at the Wirral Universities Teaching Hospital at Arrowe Park. We provide a range of music based programming 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.

Arrowe Sound began life back in the 1970's as Radio Catherine and St Catherine's Hospital at the old Birkenhead General. When Arrowe Park Hospital was built, the station broadcast to the new hospital via a landline, until studio space could be found. The station was then renamed to Arrowe Sound.

Patients can listen to Arrowe Sound via their Premier Bedside headsets, and they don't have to pay a penny. Just click 'Free Radio' on your bedside touch screen TV set, and we are the default channel 1. Premier Bedside also provides a FREE phone number so that patients can contact the studio directly. To request a song from within the hospital, just dial 4500 on your Premier Bedside telephone. Alternatively, if you're calling from outside the hospital, dial 0151-678-5111 and ask for extension 2628
